OK, hang on the bottom for a couple of seconds, and then come up.

Do you know that I coached Olympians, they won’t sink to the bottom of the pool. They won’t let all their air out, because they are afraid to let all their air out. So when they breathe and swimming freestyle, they hold their head to the side, because they are exhaling and inhaling with their mouth out of the water.

You want to exhale when your mouth is in the water, And you want to inhale as soon as your mouth clears the water, so you don’t have to have your head turn to the side very long at all. But unless you completely exhale with your mouth in the water, you are not ready to breathe when you turn your head to the side.

你们应该当嘴巴在水里的时候吐气。当嘴巴一离水就吸气，这样就不用把头转向侧面太久。但是除非你们嘴巴在水里完全吐尽气，你们没法当头一转向侧面的时候就准备好了吸气。

Ok let’s try that one more time. That’s wonderful. Move out just a little bit, kind of next to Steven out there. Ready……Pencil. Legs together Steven, Chin in, Chin in. There you go. Flat back, straight up and down. Don’t use your hands, don’t use your feet at all. “Sink it”. Don’t, no, Steven is swimming down. Just sink it. Stay in pencil. Stay in pencil. Good job, good job. Ok, come on up. That’s great, that’s great. Before each practice, if you spend 15 seconds in pencil and then “sink it ”, you learn to be more efficient with your breathing. Real real good job.

水性这东西，可以说是天生的，什么叫水性？能自然的浮在水面上就是一种水性。不过只要多练，水性自然就会起来。先天的不足可以用后天的努力来培养

当嘴巴在水里的时候吐气。当嘴巴一离水就吸气，这样就不用把头转向侧面太久。但是除非你们嘴巴在水里完全吐尽气，你们没法当头一转向侧面的时候就准备好了吸气。
