When working on a low breath, having something to look at is a great way to check to see how you’re doing. Looking UNDER the lane line WHILE breathing is a great trick. This literally is a visual queue. Again, the goal is to look under the lane line while breathing. If you’re new to this, you can start by just looking AT the lane line, just above the water. It will be important to be fairly close to the lane line when you first start out. Also, make sure you’re practicing this to both sides, as you’ll want to build a balanced stroke and have the ability to breathe to either side, whenever you want. |
