Vertical Hops will give you added power and drive off the blocks and off your turns. Make sure you’re wearing appropriate shoes, and using a non-slip mat or jumping pad to cushion your landing.
Start from a stable base, with feet shoulder width apart and pointed straight ahead. You should have equal weight on both feet. Focus your eyes on the floor several feet in front of you -- or on your image if using a mirror. Swing the arms back and up, and bring the knees up as high as you can. Always land SOFTLY...and squarely on both feet. Establish your base before you start a new jump.
