We're going to specifically think about the hands there that important in this lesson. Try to have the hands scraping the surface of the water. Even when you breathe, especially when you breathe, the tendency will be for the hands to drop when you lift the head up to take a breath. If you want to practice this with fins and a snorkel, it'll really allow you to focus and concentrate on the fingers. You'll notice that the hands are just barely scraping above the surface. I'd prefer that they were under the entire time. But this is just finding that right position. Always think about sending the fingers forward as close to the surface as possible as you're doing this, as the body rotates around. Remember, the hands are driven forward always. You'll notice that even with the snorkel on, Pat elevates his eyes just a little in order to keep that stretch going through the underarms, through the lats, through the torso. Everything being driven forward. Very specifically, when you lift your head to breathe, make sure the hands continue to stay forward, close to the surface of the water. Extend your arms with intensity, a little integrity as you move forward. Always driving the fingertips toward the other end.
