Moving forward, learning the correct position for the hands to enter the water on both backstroke and freestyle, Position-11 Flutter Kick on Your Back keeps your arms directly in front of the shoulders.
Position 11 is named because of what it looks like above the head. The arms should be like two ones sitting next to each other. Both straight and not tilted toward each other like in the streamline.
When you swim backstroke or freestyle, you’ll want the arm to enter the water directly in front of the shoulder, so this is a great foundational position to build that feeling on.
