运动类型大体上可以分为三大类:
1.Range-of-motion exercises;
2.Strengthening exercises:可以提高肌肉力量和关节稳定性;
3.Endurance exercises:可以提高心率,促进心肺功能。
而其中Strengthening exercises又可分为weightbearing exercise(负重运动) 和resistance exercise(抗阻运动)。抗阻运动中一个典型的例子就是Weightlifting(举重)。
负重运动是一项重要的提高和维持骨健康的运动,它是指any activity you do while on your feet and legs that works your muscles and bones against gravity.
负重运动例如:

•dancing
•step aerobics
•soccer
•baseball
•basketball
•tennis, racquetball
•bowling
•golf
•stair climbing
非负重运动(non-weightbearing exercise):
•swimming
•bicycling
